The short answer: no — only AntalyaKart works
On the Antalya tram (Line T1) the only way to pay is with the AntalyaKart. The AntalyaKart is a prepaid city card used across the public transport system; it is valid on the tram, city buses and certain regional lines. Direct payment by credit or debit card is not accepted on board, cash is not accepted either, and no change is given.
How and where to get an AntalyaKart
You can buy the AntalyaKart from the kiosk machines at the airport tram stop, sales points at major bus stops, some kiosks and municipal service points. You start using it by loading a balance onto the card. Daily or weekly travel options for tourists may also be available; the safest approach is to ask about availability and current terms at a kiosk or service point.
The tram for short trips around town
For those staying just a few days in Antalya, the tram is an economical choice, especially for short trips around the city centre. Line T1 links major points such as the museum district, near the Kaleiçi old town and towards Konyaaltı. The city buses, in turn, offer a wider network.
A comfortable alternative from the airport to your hotel
For reaching resort areas or distant neighbourhoods from the airport the tram is not practical; changing lines with large suitcases is tiring. On these routes a private transfer is far more comfortable: the fare is confirmed at booking, your driver meets you at the terminal exit with a name sign and takes you straight to your address.
