How are public transport fares set in Antalya?
Public transport fares in Antalya are set by the Metropolitan Municipality and work on a single boarding fare. This fare applies to both the T1 tram line and the city buses. Because the tariff is updated from time to time, the most accurate, current amount is best checked at the kiosks by the stops or at municipal service points.
Payment by AntalyaKart only
The payment system runs on the AntalyaKart; cash and credit or debit cards are not accepted on board. The AntalyaKart is the Metropolitan Municipality's prepaid smart card and is valid on the tram, city buses and certain regional lines. You buy the card from kiosks by the stops, some kiosks and municipal service points, then load a balance onto it.
Ticket types
- Standard single ride: the boarding fare defined in the municipal tariff.
- Transfer journey: a discount may apply for changes made within a set time.
- Daily / tourist card options: check availability and conditions at a kiosk.
Is there public transport to the resorts?
The T1 tram line links city-centre points such as the airport, the museum district, near Kaleiçi old town and towards Konyaaltı. However, there is no direct public transport from the airport to resorts such as Belek, Side, Alanya or Kemer; reaching them requires several changes. On these routes, waiting with luggage, finding your way and moving between vehicles can be tiring, and late at night frequencies drop or stop altogether.
A comfortable alternative to the resorts
For travel to the resort areas the most practical solution is a fixed-fare private transfer. The fare is confirmed at booking and does not change along the way; your driver meets you at the terminal exit with a name sign and takes you straight to your hotel. Because your flight is tracked, the driver waits even if the plane lands late. Larger families or groups can choose a minibus or midibus; for vehicle options and details, reach us on the 24/7 WhatsApp line.
