How do you get from Antalya to Denizli?
Antalya to Denizli is roughly 215-225 km by road. Famous for the Pamukkale travertines and the ancient city of Hierapolis, Denizli can be reached by bus, plane or private transfer depending on your budget and comfort. By private car the drive is about 2.5-3 hours; by bus it is 3.5-4.5 hours.
Travelling by bus
There are regular departures from Antalya bus terminal to Denizli throughout the day, taking around 3.5-4.5 hours. Because Antalya's bus terminal sits about 5 km from the city centre, if you are arriving from the airport you first have to reach the terminal, and on arrival you then need a further connection to central Denizli or to Pamukkale.
Travelling by plane
Denizli Çardak Airport (DNZ) is roughly a one-hour flight from Antalya Airport (AYT). However, direct flights are limited and most journeys connect through Istanbul; once you add baggage and connection time, the total cannot compete with the road.
Taxi versus private transfer
A taxi runs on a meter; an opening charge, a per-kilometre tariff and a night tariff can all apply, so on a long route the total is not clear until the trip ends. With a private transfer the fare is fixed at booking and does not change on the road. For families and groups the most comfortable solution is a door-to-door private transfer: you are picked up at your Antalya hotel or the airport and dropped at central Denizli or directly at Pamukkale.
