How to Get From Antalya Centre to Side
Side is a historic seaside town in the Manavgat district, about 75–80 km from Antalya city centre. Depending on how you travel, the trip takes between 1 and 2 hours. There are three main options.
1. Bus and Dolmuş
There are regular services from Antalya's main bus terminal to Manavgat; from there you reach Side by local dolmuş or taxi (Manavgat to Side is about 3 km). With connections the total can run to 2–2.5 hours, and it is not very practical with large luggage or late at night.
2. Taxi
Yellow taxis run on the meter; because the meter keeps ticking, the amount grows in heavy traffic and you won't see a clear total before arrival.
3. Private Transfer
This is the most comfortable and predictable option. At the time you choose, the car and driver are ready at your address and take you straight to your hotel entrance in Side. The price is fixed at booking and does not change however long the road takes.
Practical Notes for Side
With its ancient theatre and Temple of Apollo, Side is both a lively resort and an important archaeological site. Vehicle access to the historic peninsula may be restricted at certain hours, so it helps to know your hotel's exact address. If you are staying in nearby areas such as Kumköy or Çolaklı, simply tell your driver in advance.
