The fastest option: private transfer or taxi (20-30 minutes)
Antalya Airport lies about 13-14 km from the city centre. In normal traffic that distance takes 20-30 minutes door to door. If your priority is reaching the centre quickly, two options take you straight to your address: a pre-booked private transfer and the official taxi rank at the terminal exit.
Private transfer
Your driver meets you at the terminal exit holding a name sign and takes you directly to your hotel or address. The fare is confirmed when you book and does not change en route. Because your flight is tracked, the driver waits for you even if the plane lands late. There are no transfers and no wrestling with luggage on public transport — it is a true door-to-door journey. Larger families or groups can choose a minibus or midibus instead of a car.
Official taxi
You can pick up a cab instantly from the official taxi rank just outside the terminal. The meter runs: there is an opening charge, a per-kilometre rate and a night tariff, so the final amount is not clear until the trip ends. Heavy traffic raises both the time and the cost. Always use licensed, metered taxis from the official rank and avoid anyone touting for passengers outside the terminal.
Tram (Line T1)
The T1 tram line connects the airport stop to the centre. Payment is by AntalyaKart only — cash and bank cards are not accepted on board, so you need to buy the card in advance. For a solo traveller or a couple with light luggage it is the budget choice, but hauling large suitcases onto a tram is awkward and finding space during busy hours can be hard.

Arriving at night
A large share of charter flights land in the small hours. At those times the tram and public shuttles stop running and the taxi queue can grow long. Because a private transfer runs at any hour, your driver waits at the terminal exit with a name sign even for a midnight landing. You can message the driver on WhatsApp about which terminal to leave from or where to meet. Once you reach the centre, the T1 line and municipal buses are handy for getting around town; if you are heading on to a distant resort, the simplest plan is to arrange another private transfer.
