Which district is Kaş close to?
Kaş is one of the loveliest coastal towns on the Mediterranean shore, within Antalya province. Set near the south-western tip of Turkey, Kaş is known for its clear sea, diving opportunities and historic Lycian remains. The neighbouring districts and towns, in order, are:
- Kalkan: about 25 km west of Kaş; a coastal town known for its boutique holiday style.
- Patara: about 35-40 km from Kaş; famous for its ancient harbour city and long sandy beach.
- Demre (Myra): about 45 km east of Kaş; a historic district associated with Saint Nicholas.
- Finike: about 60 km east of Kaş.
Distance from Antalya Airport to Kaş
The road distance between Antalya Airport (AYT) and Kaş is around 185 km. Under normal conditions the drive takes 2.5-3 hours. The route, which follows a mountainous and winding coast road, is regarded as one of the most beautiful drives in Turkey, but its nature calls for an experienced driver.
Getting to Kaş and the surrounding area
The most frequently used route to western Antalya destinations such as Kaş, Kalkan and Patara is the D400 (Antalya-Finike-Kaş) road. For such a long distance the most practical option is a private transfer: your driver meets you at the terminal exit, your flight is tracked and the vehicle goes directly to your address. The fare is confirmed when you book and does not change along the way.
A chauffeured car for multi-stop routes
For those who want to combine the ancient city of Patara, the boutique atmosphere of Kalkan and the historic fabric of Demre in a single outing, a chauffeured-car service is ideal; the car and driver stay with you all day. If you are staying in or around Kaş, it is wise to plan your return transfer in advance too, as the journey from Kaş to the airport takes at least 2.5-3 hours.
