How do you get from Antalya Airport to Olympos?
Olympos is a village in the Kemer district of Antalya, set along the Lycian Way and known for its ancient-city ruins and quiet beach. The distance between Antalya Airport (AYT) and Olympos is roughly 80–85 km, and by private car along the coastal (Kemer) road the journey takes about 60–80 minutes in normal traffic. The final few kilometres down to Olympos is a narrow, winding mountain road, so travelling with an experienced local driver makes the trip far more comfortable.
Your options for reaching Olympos
There is no convenient direct public-transport link to Olympos, which in practice leaves three realistic options:
- Private transfer: Door-to-door from the terminal exit straight to your pension, with no changes. You never have to carry luggage between connections or wait for a shared minibus.
- Taxi: Licensed taxis wait at the airport. The meter runs on an opening (drop) charge plus a per-kilometre rate, and a night tariff may apply, so the total isn’t clear until the trip ends. Some drivers are also reluctant to take the narrow lanes down into Olympos.
- Multi-leg public transport: You would travel first to Kemer, then via Çamyuva to an Olympos shared minibus (dolmuş). That means several changes and long waits, and minibuses thin out on summer evenings.
Why choose a private transfer?
For places like Olympos — limited public transport and a narrow access road — a private transfer is the easiest choice. With Duru VIP Transfer your driver meets you at the terminal exit with a name sign; your flight is tracked, and if your landing is delayed the driver still waits for you. The fare is confirmed when you book and does not change en route, and the journey is planned door to door. The right vehicle for your group size and luggage is arranged in advance.
Olympos ancient city and around
Most visitors to Olympos come to see the ancient-city ruins, the beach and nearby Yanartaş — the natural “eternal flames” that burn from the mountainside. It is also a key stop for hikers on the Lycian Way. Because many of these sights sit close together, sharing your plan in advance lets your transfer be arranged to match it.
Return transfer and onward destinations
On the way home you are collected from your accommodation and brought back to the airport in good time; transfers can be planned for any hour, including early-morning and late-night flights. If you want to continue from Olympos to Kemer, Çıralı or central Antalya, an intercity transfer can be arranged as well.
