Which Tram Goes to Kaleiçi?
You can reach Kaleiçi, Antalya's historic centre, by tram. The city's modern tram line, T1, links many central stops; the closest stops to Kaleiçi are Müze and Kalekapısı. From either it is a short walk down into the old town.
Paying on the Tram: Antalyakart
To ride the tram you need the prepaid Antalyakart; you buy it at terminals, kiosks and some newsstands and top it up with credit. The tram does not accept direct card payment. The same card works on city buses.
From the Airport to Kaleiçi
There is no direct tram from the airport to Kaleiçi; you first travel to the city centre and change. The distance between AYT and Kaleiçi is about 14 km. Rather than connecting public transport with luggage, a private transfer is the most practical way to arrive directly and comfortably.
Visiting Kaleiçi
Kaleiçi is Antalya's landmark district, with ancient walls, Roman-era remains, Hadrian's Gate, the Clock Tower and the old harbour. It is largely closed to vehicle traffic, so your driver drops you at the nearest permitted entry point and you continue on foot.
