Antalya Airport Land of Legends Transfer

Many visitors reach The Land of Legends on a package holiday where the airport transfer is already arranged by the tour operator, often as a shared service that calls at several hotels on the way. If that describes your trip, the real question is not how to get to the park but whether a private, door-to-door car is worth adding to what you already have. This page answers both.

The Land of Legends is a theme park, water park and shopping complex in the Kadriye neighbourhood of the Serik district, on the stretch of the Antalya coast marketed as Belek; its coordinates are 36.8740463, 31.0034952. Antalya Airport (AYT) lies around 28 km to the west along the D400 coastal road, which is roughly 35 minutes of driving in normal traffic.

The complex is large enough that arriving guests are better off naming a specific gate rather than the site as a whole, and it sits in the middle of a dense band of resort hotels. What follows covers driving distances from the main resorts, the three realistic ways to arrive, and what a transfer booking does and does not cover.

Antalya Airport Transfer to The Land of Legends

A private transfer is a car booked for your party alone, meeting you at arrivals with a name board and driving directly to the address you gave. It is worth separating this from the word "shuttle", which for most British and Irish readers means a shared service: it collects several parties, calls at several hotels, and departs on its own schedule rather than yours. Both will get you to Kadriye; what differs is who sets the clock. On a shared service the rest of the list decides when your day starts and how long the road takes; on a private booking your own flight sets it, or the hour you name if you start from a hotel.

The booking is tied to your flight number and the arrival is monitored, so the pickup is planned around the landing that actually happens rather than the one on the schedule. Night and early-morning arrivals are planned with the same flight tracking. If baggage reclaim or the passport queue runs long, your driver stays at the airport. Your driver's name, phone number and car registration are confirmed before the transfer day, along with the meeting point at arrivals.

Name your drop-off point when you book. The theme park entrance, Kingdom Hotel, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Antalya and Shopping Avenue are all doors of the same complex, and the driving distance from Antalya Airport to each of them is the same within measurement noise. What differs is where the car actually stops and how far you walk afterwards. Note that Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Antalya is a hotel inside the complex rather than the theme park itself, so name whichever one you actually mean. If you are staying inside the complex, give the hotel name; if you are visiting for the day, say whether you want the park gate or Shopping Avenue.

The return leg after the evening show is the part that most often gets left to chance. The site stays lively well after dark, while the public transport running back towards Antalya thins out long before that. If you are not sleeping inside the complex, settle the return before you go, either as the second leg of a return booking or as a separate pickup with an agreed meeting point at the gates.

One point of scope, because it causes real confusion at the gate: a transfer booking covers the journey between your pickup point and the complex. What we are responsible for is the transport itself, the pickup at the address you named, the road, and the return leg if you ordered one. Admission to the theme park and the water park is arranged separately, through the park's own channels, and the programme of the day belongs to the park rather than to the booking.

Getting to The Land of Legends: distances, routes and public transport

The road approaches here follow the D400 coastal highway, so the figures below are driving distances rather than straight-line measurements. From Antalya Airport (AYT) it is around 28 km and roughly 35 minutes. From Antalya city centre, around 36 km and roughly 40 minutes. From Lara, around 18 km and roughly 30 minutes. From Belek, around 5 km and roughly 10 minutes. From Kadriye itself, around 2 km and roughly 10 minutes. From Side, around 49 km and roughly 65 minutes. From Kemer, around 82 km and roughly 85 minutes. From Alanya, around 109 km and roughly 120 minutes. The distances follow the driving route and do not change; the times are averages with margin left for normal traffic, and only they stretch in peak season and around closing time.

You will see this journey quoted at very different distances, and the reason is not which gate you are dropped at but which point a source treats as "there". Measured from the airport along the same road, the centre of Kadriye is around 26 km out, the gates of the complex are around 28 km out, and the Belek hotel strip begins around 33 km out. A source anchored to Kadriye therefore reads low, a source anchored to Belek reads high, and a source that counts from Antalya city centre instead of the airport gives a longer figure again. For the gates of the park itself, measured from the airport, the answer is around 28 km.

There are three realistic ways to cover the journey. Public transport asks the most of you: at least one change, a walk at the end, and a timetable you do not control. A taxi from the airport rank needs no planning, but you agree the terms at the moment you are least equipped to think about them, and it settles the arrival only, not the way back. A private transfer booked in advance addresses both of those: the car is assigned to your flight before you land, and the return leg is agreed in advance. Which one suits you depends less on budget than on your luggage, your children and the hour you land.

If you want to travel independently, the chain looks like this. Do not count on a direct connection from the terminal; reaching the eastbound network normally means at least one change. The local route serving the Kadriye and Belek corridor is line BA22, and the usual changing point is the Meydan Kavşağı junction. From the BA22 stop nearest the complex there is still a walk to the gates along a road carrying resort traffic, manageable with a daypack, awkward with a pushchair and a cool bag. Services run less often outside the summer months, and the last departures come earlier than most visitors expect and shift with the season, so check the current timetable on the day you travel.

Practical notes before you travel

Not everyone reading this needs a transfer, and it is better to say so plainly. If you are already staying in Kadriye, the complex may be within walking distance of your hotel door, and on a mild evening that walk is pleasant. Some properties in the immediate area may also run something of their own across to the complex, so it is worth asking at reception before you book a car for that leg; what is offered differs from hotel to hotel. A private car earns its place on the airport leg, on late returns and when you are moving a family with its luggage, not on a stroll you could have taken anyway.

Travelling with children is a matter of process rather than promises. Tell us at the time of booking how many children are travelling and what ages they are, and add any child seat request in the booking notes. Requests are handled case by case, and asking early is the difference between an arrangement and an improvisation. Mention a pushchair too, or the fact that you expect to come back with wet park bags, because it changes how the car is loaded.

The site is at its busiest from mid-June through August, when the coastal heat peaks. Water, sun cream and hats matter more here than at home, and the open water sections are unforgiving in the middle of the day. May, early June and late September bring softer temperatures and shorter queues. Turkish lira is the local currency, and card acceptance varies between larger venues and smaller kiosks.

If you are combining the park with the beach, plan the direction of travel rather than the clock: a morning by the sea and a later arrival at the complex works better in high summer than the reverse, because it keeps the open sections of the site out of the hottest hours.

• Spring brings warm days and short queues, and it is comfortable enough to spend a full day outdoors at the complex without planning around the heat.
• In July and August the heat and the crowds both peak, so shift the visit towards late afternoon and evening and carry more water than you think you need.
• Late September and early October stay mild while the crowds thin out, which suits families travelling with younger children well.
• Winter is the quiet season on the coastal road, and the outdoor water sections are the part of any visit most affected by the weather.
