Where are the airports in Antalya?
The province of Antalya is served by two airports: Antalya Airport (AYT) and Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP). Below is where each sits, the areas it serves, and which one suits your trip.
Antalya Airport (AYT)
Antalya Airport lies east of the city centre, about 13–14 km away. It is one of Turkey’s busiest airports after Istanbul, offering direct connections from many major European cities. It operates with two terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international ones, which keeps arriving and departing passengers well organised.
Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP)
Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport is in the Gazipaşa district to the east of Antalya and is closer to eastern destinations such as Alanya, Manavgat and Side. It lies roughly 160–170 km from central Antalya. Its number of flights is limited compared with AYT, but it can be a convenient alternative for travellers heading specifically to the Alanya area.
Which airport should you fly into?
- Central Antalya, Lara, Kundu, Belek, Kemer → Antalya Airport (AYT)
- Side, Manavgat → both airports are a similar distance; AYT offers more flight choices
- Alanya → Gazipaşa-Alanya (GZP) is closer, though AYT also works
The two airports are about 160–170 km apart, around 1.5–2 hours by car, with no direct public transport between them. Duru VIP Transfer provides door-to-door transport from either airport.
