Antalya Airport to the centre is roughly 15–40 minutes
Antalya Airport (AYT) lies about 10–15 kilometres from the city centre — the Kaleiçi and Konyaaltı area. Although the distance is short, the real factor that decides the time is traffic; depending on the hour, the route and your target neighbourhood, the drive ranges from 15 to 40 minutes. In the afternoon and evening, inner-city congestion can lengthen the journey noticeably.
Estimated times by district
- Kaleiçi / historic centre: about 12 km, 15–25 minutes.
- Konyaaltı: about 10 km, 15–20 minutes.
- Muratpaşa / city centre: about 14 km, 20–30 minutes.
- Kepez / north: about 18 km, 25–40 minutes.
Transport options
- Private transfer: the most predictable option. The driver meets you at the terminal exit with a name sign, the fare is confirmed at booking and does not change en route, your flight is tracked if delayed, and you are dropped straight at your address.
- AntRay tram: reaching the city centre (Meydan) from the airport stop by tram takes about 20–25 minutes. The line generally runs from around 06:00 to 23:30; it is an economical alternative for daytime trips with light luggage.
- Taxi: runs on a meter with an opening charge plus a per-kilometre rate, the night tariff is higher, and the amount becomes clear only when the trip ends.
Which one suits you?
For light luggage, daytime and budget-focused arrivals, the AntRay tram does the job comfortably. For families, large luggage or late-night landings, a door-to-door private transfer is the most comfortable choice. Travelling alone and in a hurry, a taxi is an option too, though the metered amount is not clear in advance. Once your arrival time is set, you can arrange your transfer here.
