How do you get from the airport to Kemer?
Kemer is a holiday district on the western side of Antalya, set at the foot of the Taurus Mountains along the Mediterranean coast. The road distance between Antalya Airport (AYT) and Kemer is about 45 km, and the drive takes 40-55 minutes under normal conditions. In summer, traffic on the coast road can stretch this a little.
Your options
- Private transfer: the most comfortable choice. Your driver meets you at the terminal exit with a name sign, your flight is tracked and the vehicle goes directly to your hotel door. The fare is confirmed when you book.
- Taxi: you can take a licensed taxi from the terminal exit; the meter runs and the total depends on the distance and the current tariff, becoming clear at the end of the trip.
- Dolmuş (shared minibus): there is a dolmuş to Kemer from Antalya’s eastern bus station, but you first have to get from the airport to the city centre, which means a change and extra time.
What is Kemer famous for?
Kemer is known for its marina, the ancient cities of Olympos and Phaselis, and the coves of Çıralı and Adrasan. The area is also ideal for hiking trails and nature lovers. Once you have settled in Kemer, you can use a chauffeured-car service for trips to Antalya, Olympos or Phaselis, or for the return to the airport, completing a full-day programme in a single vehicle.
Kemer’s sub-areas
The Kemer district covers several distinct resort areas such as Beldibi, Göynük, central Kemer, Çamyuva, Kiriş and Tekirova. The closest point to the airport is Beldibi at about 33 km, while Tekirova is around 65 km away. This difference affects the transfer time, so giving your hotel’s name and area when you book ensures the most accurate planning.
