Antalya taxi fares run on the meter: a flag fall, a per-kilometre rate and a waiting charge. Plus the fixed-price alternative for airport transfers.

How Is a Taxi Fare Calculated in Antalya?

Taxis in Antalya charge by meter. The tariff is set by the Antalya Drivers' and Motorists' Chamber and the fare has three parts: a flag-fall (opening) charge, a per-kilometre rate, and a waiting charge that runs in traffic or at stops. A separate tariff may apply at night.

Because the per-kilometre rate is revised during the year in line with inflation, quoting a fixed figure would be misleading; you can confirm the current rate from the tariff label inside the taxi or from the chamber's official announcements.

The Drawback of the Meter for Airport Transfers

The meter is practical for short trips within the city; but for distant resorts like Belek, Side or Alanya the total is not known in advance and climbs quickly as the distance grows. In busy periods the airport taxi queue can also be long, and if your flight is delayed the driver may leave.

If You Want a Known Amount in Advance

If you want the amount for the airport–hotel route to be clear from the start, a pre-booked private transfer is more predictable than the meter: you confirm your route at booking, the amount stays fixed, and your driver meets you at the terminal.
